LocationWelcome to Kwacha House, a lovely home on the beach in Jambiani Village on the South East Coast of Zanzibar. The two towers are linked by an arched bridge and have roof terraces accessible internally via the spiral stairs; ideal for private sunbathing or repulsing marauding infidels with a rain of arrows and boiling oil. Coloured glass arched windows cast a lovely submarine blue light in the rooms, and the white neru plaster is cool on the soles of your feet and soothing to the eye.Accommodation/RoomsKwacha House is perfect for 4 adults with up to 6 kids, or for four couples. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms in each tower. The upstairs bedrooms are accessed by a wooden staircase from the courtyard up to a gallery, covered veranda and en suite bathrooms and are also connected to the downstairs rooms by an internal spiral staircase in each tower.North TowerThe North Tower has a downstairs king-size Swahili bed and a bathroom with shower. Upstairs are three ? sized Swahili beds? two of these can be pushed together to make a double ?  and an en suite bathroom.South TowerThe South Tower has a kids? bedroom downstairs with two sofa beds and a King-sized double (all with mosquito nets of course!) and up the spiral staircase is a master bedroom with a large king-sized bed. Again both bedrooms are en-suite and both have ceiling fans. All the beds have new floor length mosquito nets, and the windows have louvred shutters and inner windows with mosquito gauze, security mesh and burglar bars. Should the sea breeze dwindle with the tide, there are ceiling fans to keep you cool. There?s plenty of shelving to unpack and make yourselves at home, and a Zanzibar chest to lock your valuables in.Main Living AreaBetween the arched entrances to the towers and the main living area, you will stumble across our new plunge pool. A cool blue freshwater oasis in which to bask and play for a few leisurely hours while the tide is out and the sun is high overhead. The main living area (Banda) is sand-floored and coconut frond-thatched, with sailcloth awnings to provide shade and filter the breeze. There are two comfortable sitting areas with Swahili daybeds, chairs and coffee tables, a large dining table, and a breakfast bar. Just off the main room is a fifth bathroom and shower for your guests.Kitchen & PantryThe Banda also houses the kitchen and pantry. The kitchen is well equipped for your party with a gas oven, juicer, toaster, coffee percolator, a large fridge and a chest deep freeze to store your seafood in and make plenty of ice for your stay. There is plenty of crockery, cutlery and glassware to cater for parties of up to ten people.Facilities/ServicesThe house is outfitted with everything you?ll need to have an enjoyable stay.HousekeeperHilda Shekihiyo our housekeeper is there to show you how everything works and to discuss your needs for laundry and meals. Hilda comes in at 07:30 each day and will prepare your breakfast at whatever time you wish. She will then collect laundry from your room, make your beds, and sweep the rooms. After tidying up the Banda (main living area) and kitchen, she will be available to shop for you and assist you with making lunch.CooksWe have two freelance cooks lined up for you to employ who are able to make a delicious range of dishes for you during your stay.ActivitiesThere?s lots to do in and around Jambiani in addition to chilling out at Kwacha House.
