The house can comfortably sleep 16 people and can accommodate 20 people maximum with 2 extra camping beds per floor with an extra charge of R250.00 per bed per night with very comfortable mattresses. Linen, towels, etc are supplied for these extras The house is air-conditioned - all bedrooms have aircon and there are fans in all common areas. Both units have DSTV. The bottom floor is well maintained and boasts 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms (3 en-suite), a modern kitchen, a large living room, and a braai area for socializing, plus beautiful gardens and a swimming pool. 4 extra camping beds are available at ZAR 250.00 per bed, per night. That together with thunderstorms might cause some power cuts from time to time. It is advisable that your group carries torches just in case. We do not recommend the use of candles due to fire risk.

I would highly recommend Ilha Azul for the perfect holiday get away. We were so warmly welcomed to a beautiful house surrounded by excellently maintained tropical gardens and large pool. The staff (Tiny and James) were nothing short of amazing. They helped us unpack our car and settle in as well as assist us throughout our stay with anything we needed. The house is very clean and well kept and remained like this throughout our stay with the staff that came in daily to clean. The owners Maria and John were also wonderful, they checked in on us when we arrived, throughout our stay as well as our departure. The house is equipped with aircons and everything that you need while staying there. The only negative is that it is a bit of a walk to the beach but with the beautiful surroundings and little stalls along the way, it is not a deal breaker for this lovely home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back to visit again soon.

I really cannot fault Ilha Azul and there is very little to improve on. Some extra features such as a washing machine and outside fan would be helpful but overall, the staff, owners and house are wonderful.

A very luxurious establishment with impeccable decor and friendly help. There is an aircon in every room and the kitchen is well equipped. Felt very safe there and would recommend it to any person. It was also close-by enough to the village centre to walk but not too close to hear the commotion.

Suggest a shower schedule for guests as there is not enough warm water for all guests at the same time. Also, I would suggest that the room layout is better explained, for example in the one-bedroom there was a double bed and a single bed and our group was not all couples.

For those who are reading this review, I just want to say it was an amazing experience. My family and friends enjoyed every minute and we loved our stay there.
The house we stayed in was spacious and absolutely beautiful, with colorful decor, great furniture and appliances that are needed for every occasion. Cleanliness was up to par, wifi connection was very good and the kitchen was wonderfully up to standard.
The house provided everything that made it homey and still feel like you on holiday.
The house is also provided with a security service and is close to all amenities.
Best part, were the house caretakers, Tina and James who are awesome and so welcoming, they were so good to us and made sure all our needs and wants were met.
I strongly recommend staying here, to whoever wants to stay in Ponta do Ouro. You won't go wrong.

What a pleasant surprise awaits you when the gate opens !!! Firstly there are the staff with their big smiles greeting you and helping with luggage etc. The house is very neat and tidy and so is the lovely garden. The pool area is very inviting with all the loungers already set up for you......all you have to do is relax !! WE spent 10 days at llha Azhul house in Ponta de Oura. WE were 4 couples with 4 grownup children and rented both the top and bottom house - WOW 7 spacious rooms with 7 bathrooms!! This house is very special and we had a fabulous time. The kitchens are well equipped, with enough pots and pans , crockery and cutlery and braai facilities. The house is clean and neat, with a special personal touch from the owner, Maria. The garden is beautiful with hammocks for late afternoon relaxing Having a pool with deckchairs and a gazebo was a special treat when the wind got nasty at the beach The security is great, gates are kept locked at all times and keys kept by the 2 staff members on duty 24/7. With the ring of a bell they come running to open and close at any time. The staff, are very helpful and friendly, without ever being in the way.

What an amazing home. We truly enjoyed our stay. The web images does not begin to describe it's true beauty and features. We were impressed! Having staff available 24 hours a day and they ensured the house was cleaned daily. The air cons in the rooms were also a welcome and appreciated feature and we loved that our kids could play safely in the secured yard, complete with swimming pool. Loved every minute. We will surely be back!

We stayed at Ilha Azul from 6 - 13 Jan 2018. It was everything the pictures showed and more! The staff were friendly, accommodating and always smiling. Could have done with 2 fridges per apartment but other than that we were extremely happy and comfortable - home away from home!
Ilha Azul was the best choice for our holiday to Ponta! Such an incredible house with everything you need there. The garden is magnificent with relaxing afternoons in the hammocks and cooling off in the pool. Justino and Milton always there to help too.
