This phenomenon is the only one of its kind in the world and it is within this unique geographic area that The Ichobezi operates. The majestic Ichobezi is a state of the art luxury safariboat operating on both the Chobe and Zambezi Rivers. At 18 meters long and boasting four en-suite cabins for guest use - all decorated in tasteful African style - this unique boat offers the guest comfort, space and versatility in which to view the wonders of the Chobe National Park and the Caprivi Strip. Guests board The Ichobezi straight onto the accommodation deck. Each of the 4 spacious double guest cabins can be configured either as twin or double and has en-suite bathroom facilities and large sliding windows opening onto the water. In order to prevent mosquitoes from entering the rooms, each window is spanned by a transparent mosquito screen. Electricity (220V and 12V) is supplied to each bedroom, ensuring the functionality of all electric shavers, dryers and lights. Spacious cupboards with shelves and hanging space are provided in each bedroom. The elevated entertainment deck consists of the kitchen and bar area at the rear of the vessel and this opens out onto spacious dining and lounge areas that allow 360 degree views of the beautiful Chobe area. If the weather turns, the large sliding doors provide shelter without compromising the view. At the front of the entertainment deck guests can enjoy the panoramic scenery of the surrounds while lounging on the sun deck or taking a dip in the plunge pool. Our onboard chef will be sure to delight you with his mouth watering cuisine. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all prepared by the onboard chef, with mealtimes being a highlight of the trip. Special dietary requirements can be met, provided that the request is supplied to us at least two weeks in advance. The bar is fully stocked with South African wines and a range of local beers, as well as a large selection of spirits and liqueurs. Please be sure to advise us at least two weeks in advance of your cruise of any specific drink that you would like stocked on The Ichobezi. Bottled water and soft drinks are also readily available.Game viewing by boat into the Chobe National Park is a remarkable experience and the evening trip by smaller tender boat along the banks of the river provides guests with an unforgettable experience of witnessing a true African sunset, while being surrounded by huge herds of elephant and sipping on a cold sundowner. There is also an extensive array of other wildlife species such as buffalo, giraffe, lechwe, puku, and baboons with lions and leopards also being common visitors down to the waters edge.Fishing is also a fantastic activity for either novice fishermen looking to catch their first tigerfish, or for experienced fly-fishermen looking for the ultimate challenge of catching a tiger on a fly. Other species of fish which may be landed include tilapia, largemouth bream, catfish and squeakers. The Ichobezi Safariboat has fishing access to over 30 km of Chobe River, over 120 km of Zambezi River and many kilometres of waterways in the Kasai and Indibe wetlands. Each of these areas offers a different fishing experience. Guests have access to a series of good quality tender boats all with large motors, including a jet boat for the rapids and rocky areas.
