Ponta Beach Front Camp EN - SUITE UNITS: Consists of large permanent East Africa Safari Style Tents, constructed on elevated wooden platforms. These units are located virtually on the beach. All are en suite.  The camp is self catering and there is a communal kitchen and dinning area behind the accommodation units. Each unit has its own fridge and freezer combination fridge situated in this communal area.For those not wanting the hassle of cooking, our popular restaurant Barraca do Ponta situated in the next door MAIN CAMP, offers affordable meal options and catering packages.These units are situated just 10m back from the main beach at PontaEach unit has a large glass sliding door, which opens up onto a wooden deck overlooking the sea. This amazing view is also possible in most units from the bed. The units are spacious , well ventilated and laid out in a manner that ensures they remain cool and airy despite the tropical Mozambique heat. They are available either with a double bed or double twin single bed configuration.  BEACH FRONT FAMILY UNIT:This unit is essentially two units joined together to make two bedrooms. A large deck runs full with across the front and each room can be accessed separately through its own sliding door. Both rooms can access the very large en suite bathroom which can be locked from the inside to ensure privacy.  The main bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has two singles beds. Both are fitted bedding and equipped furniture and appliances. The double beds has two pillows and the single beds has one pillow. All beds are fitted with mattress and pillow protectors. They all have a fitted bottom sheet and light duvet with bed throws. During winter time an extra blanket or duvet may be required. Please bring your own or request for extra bedding at reception.   A nice feature is that more most of the area in front has natural dune vegetation affording the unit a degree of wind protection, shade and privacy.The rooms are serviced daily please notify reception what time you would like this done.Kindly bring your own beach and bath towels, toiletries, mosquito repellant, suntan lotion and torch, beach umbrellas and hats. Gazebos can be hired from the locals on the beach.Beach Front Camp Self Catering Dining/Braai Boma Area and Kitchen:For those not wanting the hassle of cooking, our popular restaurant Barraca de Ponta situated in the next door MAIN CAMP offers affordable meal options and catering packages.If you prefer to braai or cook your own food the self catering facilities consist of a large Boma housing the dinning area and kitchen. There is a braai area adjoining it. Each seafront unit is allocated a fridge which is situated in the kitchen area. It is also equipped with a double gas hotplate and electric kettle. Plug points for private portable camp fridges are available for hire in the dinning area.What's provided:Frying pan, pots, pans, braai grids, egg lifter, big spoons, plates basins and bowls.What to bring:Glasses, coffee mugs, knives, forks, ect, braai tongs, bottle opener, can opener and corkscrew.Braai Facilities:There is a large braai area with communal braai adjoining the dinning area. This is for the sole use of the beach front camp residents and supplied free of charge. Bring your own charcoal and firelighters. Not good braai wood and charcoal is available to buy at Ponta along the road or in the market. There is a large sink for washing the dishes and crockery.NB:Please do not use commercial dish wash liquids or pour any other form of chemicals down any basin or drain. Due to the proximity to the beach and waste disposal systems, only organic liquids are allowed. Each unit is equipped with a fan, mosquito net, a bedside table, bedside lamp and 2 pin plug. There is also a room ceiling light and outside deck light.The whole camp is security fenced and security guards patrol at night.
